Acai (ah-sa-EE) is a fruit. It’s got lots of antioxidants. Trendy restaurants are using it in their drinks these days. It kind of tastes like pomegranate, but better.

Acai is big in Brazil and Peru. I worked in a Brazilian/Peruvian “fusion” restaurant, and we had some great martinis made with acai.
